AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO UTILIZE THE ENGLISH SYSTEM OF MEASUREMENTS IN ALL OF ITS PLANS, DESIGNS, SURVEYS AND TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall utilize the English system of measurements in all of its plans, designs, surveys and technical documents prepared, developed, created or produced on or after July 1, 1999.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
